• Pick up from your accommodation in Adelaide at 8.30 am

• We drive the scenic route to the Barossa Valley through Torrens Gorge and along various water reservoirs

• Kangaroo Creek Water Reservoir will be our first stop, the impressive size providing a spectacular venue for photographs

• On arrival in the Barossa Valley we take you to a well known winery for a vineyard tour through 150 year old vines. Here you will have the opportunity to sample their wine

• A catered three course gourmet lunch at a Barossa Valley winery is provided

• We continue our tour towards the Riverland, passing through the townships of Waikerie, Barmera and Berri, until we reach the heart of the Riverland, the townships of Renmark and Paringa. You will be surprised, how the Murray River changes an outback country into a beautiful fruit- and wine-growing area

• We take you to another wine tasting at a Riverland winery

• This area is well known for its houseboat holidays and we would like you to experience this special kind of holiday. The following 2 days/3 nights we show you the beauty of South Australia’s 'Mighty Murray' on a houseboat. This fascinating river with its colourful cliffs, beautiful giant river red gums, amazing sunrises and sunsets, stars that seem so close you could touch them and the variety of flora and fauna, will leave a lasting impression

• After breakfast on our final day we visit Ruston's Rose Garden, an 11 hectare garden wonderland. With 50 000 rose bushes, it is the largest in the southern hemisphere

• We enjoy another wine tasting in the Riverland

• A catered gourmet lunch along the way will be provided

• Our last stop before leaving the Murray River will be the little township of Mannum, well known for its houseboats and paddle steamers

• Before returning to Adelaide we make our way to Mount Lofty Lookout, which, at 726 meters, is the highest point in the Adelaide Hills. The panoramic view over the beautiful city of Adelaide, surrounding hills and valleys right across to the ocean, will be unforgettable

• Return to your accommodation in Adelaide will be at around 6.00 pm

Fully escorted tour - from Adelaide - by Petra’s Tailor Made Tours, your personalised travel service in South Australia. Transfers from and to your hotel; travel in a well-equipped, comfortable and air conditioned vehicle for four days; fully equipped houseboat for two days/three nights; one wine tasting in the Barossa Valley; two wine tastings in the Riverland; all meals on board of the houseboat as well as two additional gourmet lunches with drinks.

During our time on board your tour-guide takes on the job as the chef "Smutje" for the preparing and cooking of all meals. Any other little jobs should be shared in teamwork by the group.
